Amanda grew up surrounded by coffee drinkers and was eager to learn how to appreciate and prepare coffee at an early age. At 18, she got her first job as a barista.

“Our blends are composed of a variety of different coffees that deliver different and unique flavor profiles. Mexican coffee can offer a range of flavor profiles ranging from complex and fruity to comforting and chocolatey. Within a given flavor profile, it’s important to verify that a coffee was produced and processed in such a way that it will deliver said profile consistently and in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.” - Amanda

Beto has been around coffee his entire life. He grew up on a 4th generation coffee farm in Brazil, and since then, he’s traveled all around the world in search of amazing beans.

“Part of our field was planted by my brother and me, during our school holidays – I still remember my excitement of going to the field every early morning.”

He admits that it’s not always a holiday—logistics can be very difficult—but he loves being in the highlands of the mountains and having a connection with the local people.

For Beto, great coffee not only consists of a taste that gives you pleasure when drinking it, but a coffee that is ethically sourced. Having been on the other side, he gives farmers a lot of respect because it’s not easy to produce coffee. Each pod comes not only containing a great roasted coffee, but with a lot of respect for the ones that produce it.

“My lesson taken from those days is: to keep on working with enthusiasm and to keep cultivating my passion in joining the transformation process that starts in a ripe cherry, and ends in our pods.” - Beto
